and the other one (which I, also, still have) was: I no longer recall the first "album", but I do have all of them.
I recall that twasn't too many years later, perhaps only one, that I inherited all of one of my elder brother's 8-tracks, as well: Tull Beck Zappa Cheech and Chong Little Feat and ten billion others... because he was given a brand new Camaro with a cassette player, converting all of his music to the new format.
More of a North Jersey thing, but on one of many road trips to New England i discovered WSOU, Seton Hall's radio station. I'm not really much of a metal fan...**** like Scorpions and Def Leppard....WSOU played real speed metal (like the kind of staff that tape traders knew about - ferocious) 24 hours a day as far as i can tell. I still try to tune it in once i get north of exit 8 or so. Just curious if anyone else even knew it existed.
That sh!t barely even deserves to be called metal. I went to see Monsters of Rock at RFK stadium just to see Metallica. They weren't popular yet so they were the 2nd band after some sh!tty Led Zep ripoff band. The glam hair crowd got invaded buy a bunch of grubby jean jacket wearing freaks that started raising hell and throwing sh!t at the Led Zep ripoff and ran them off the stage. Then Metallica came on and the pit erupted. It scared the crap out of all the glam rockers. It was cool to see then changing of the guard, and the end of hair metal.
I grew up with an older brother and sister so there's a lot of 70's rock that I just can't stand to hear ever again. That song "Dreamweaver" or whatever it's called still makes me want to go insane, my sister played that like 1000x.
ANOTHER one of my favs that FLsurfDOG just brought to mind...

Thats just your opinion, music from all genres has a place in world and affects people in different ways. Being so close minded isn't usually your style. Are you okay? Do you need a hug?
No--his music does suck. Sorry. And yes--it is my opinion. As fo a hug, antoine, sorry I am not that kind of a guy..... But Merry Christmas anyways!!
My late mother was extremely fond of that song. She also liked this one; therefore, I am extremely fond of it, as well. I wish I knew what the first song was she purchased, but I do not. I do know that she loved music, though.
