Is a nice camera... So my wife got me the Nikon Coolpix P900 bundle pack for being a good boy this year. Anybody have one? Know anything about them? I'm a newb when it comes to cameras like this, so it's going to be a learning experience for me.

What are you guys getting this year? Anything?

My pick for a gift would come from fl.sufdogs thread.........but that camera outfit looks very nice.
Eventually you will want long lenses. And yes....some of the new digital camera require a PhD to operate them.

Naw, in reality, she fits the bill purrrfectly for me. We decided no more xmas gifts. We can never find what we want any more. Long time together; no needs, I suppose. So we are spending our xmas budget on daughter and granddaughter.

True, we run into that issue sometimes. I seem to always want a new boart but this year I decided I will wait till my B day probably for that. Other than that I don’t want for much. Neither does my wife. I try to buy her stuff and she always changes her mind and can’t settle on anything. She just got the Galaxy S8 phone though so she’s happy. I’ll take her clothes shopping in Orlando / Disney Springs when we stay a couple days before Christmas Day.

All I want for Christmas is the determination to get myself back into prime surfing condition after the new year. I haven't gotten fat, well not really fat, but damn my stamina in the water is seriously lacking. Also I bought a second home on a Maine lake this fall and my wife and I said that will be our Christmas present to each other for the next 15 years, lol.

I hope you enjoy the Maine house, black flies and all.
My wife and I had a house on Pushaw Pond up in Orono Maine for 3 years--the black flies were so bad we could not go out in Spring for a few weeks. Hope it is NOT like that where you are.

I'm sure the black flies are just as bad, I won't be there in the spring other than to open the camp up and plan to use it for summer and fall mostly. Here is a picture. It's an old camp with vinyl siding that I hate but I'm gonna change that out eventually. Oh yeah, the island is mine too!

Thanks! Yeah we are really excited about it. We lost a ton of money when the real estate market tanked around 07. We had bought a piece of investment property and saw half the value of it lost to never recover. In the end We lost over $100,000 but when we sold it we managed to walk away with $30,000 and had another $30,000 saved so invested it here. I may loose again in the real estate game but at least we invested it in something we always wanted versus a purely speculative purchase.

Here is the view from the boat house which sits alongside the main cottage. I'm gonna convert it to a separate mini cottage. Disregard the filthy mattress, I pulled that from the "big" cottage and I swear that mattress is original to the property, really gross.
