Well, at least everyone gets a trophy just for showing up... the importance of "self esteem" and all that.
There’s been a guy at Nanny lately, crazy good paddlesurfer, but it ignorant as hell, just snaking and stealing and paddling around people like a SPED on Ritalin - I dropped in on him twice, once by error, second by plan and he wasn’t happy but short of getting into it with him, I just played his game as best I could. He was good enough to go to any of the spots that popped up working and he did for turns but people are pissed and know his name now. Possible issues but I think he’s been told to chill out and maybe he will... but if not, it should certainly stay among those involved and be dealt with that way...your mouth shouldn’t be writing checks your butt cant cash. Period.
It’s tough cause he’s really mobile and fast, but his weakness? He CANNOT pass up a wave, and he seems to pick the ones I like - so that’s how I got him the second time.. and I fake paddled for a few when I saw him line up behind someone or back paddle them. Felt douchy but like I said it was usually when he was wrecking the lineup. I even call out waves for surfers next to me or near in the lineup if I know it’s not my turn, and a lot of times I’ll get a high sign and they take off or they let me know it’s cool to go for it. That’s usually only when it’s jammed like it has been the last few weekends. I’d rather be happy and friendly on the break than mad...but Pump, your right and it worked lol
The Florida stand your ground is for cowards that can't fight. Take that Zimmerman guy. He was following Martin for no reason (playing wanna be cop) Martin kicked his butt and got shot for it. Zimmerman wasn't going to die, he just has some lumps to deal with. Sure there will be obvious exceptions, but pulling a gun in a fist fight is no different than calling the cops as in the VM example I posted.
I disagree with you - but it’s a bottomless pit of an argument so I won’t bother beyond saying it needs to be cleaned up but it’s function is clear. And treyvon Martin got shot because he was an butthole who jumped on the wrong “white homo f$g” while walking through a closed neighborhood looking walking and talking like a thug. The same neighborhood that had a slew of violent robberies, home invansions and break ins by guys looking just like trey trey. End of story. You want to look and act like a threat? People will see you as one. Too bad for Martin that the guy he threatened and started beating on had a gun. Oops. Now, pulling a gun in true, honest fist fight? I agree. But are you gonna wait to see if it’s a legit fisticuffs or get stabbed or your head smashed open on the curb by someone who has the jump on you?
I bet there's rich folks eatin' In a fancy dining car They're probably drinkin' coffee And smokin' big cigars But I know I had it comin' I know I can't be free But those people keep a-movin' And that's what tortures me
Whatever man. Zimmerman was following him around like some weirdo, and when you act like a weirdo and are perceived as a threat expect to get jumped. I have always said Martin was more inline with stand your ground than weirdo Zimmerman. Martn saw him as a threat and reacted. As far as looking like a thug? Last I checked that isn’t a crime and it doesn’t warrant some wanna be cop to follow him. Man even the police told him to let Martin keep going. But nope he kept pursuing and he deserved the beating he got. But it appears Zimmerman is only able to punch back when it comes to women. Total worthless human.
I almost don't even want to get into this. And im not taking about this specific incident. But looking like a thug is certainly a issue. Specifically in areas with a known gang presence. Cops are not perfect and are not immune to nerves. Cop stops a guy who is dressed like a gang member in a known gang area... cops going to be on his toes. Guy makes a awkward movement or does somthing like that and cop reacts. It happens man. Again, not talking about the specific incident you were talking about. But there have been plenty of shootings with a story similar to what i describe.
Cops yes, go for it. Some weirdo wanna be cop following somebody is 100% different. Imagine for a second you are walking in a neighborhood (by the way he was visiting somebody) and some freak is following you in a suv. You eventually run from the suv and the guy gets out and chases you. Would you not jump him as well? Zimmerman was a perceived threat.
Bro’ everyone has a viewpoint so I get it, mine just happens to be from the reality/law enforcement side of things. But if you truly believe looking and acting like a potential violent criminal - and lets not be coy here - you wanna look like Tupac I’m going to assume you think like him too - doesn’t rightly effect how your perceived then you aren’t looking clearly enough. It’s like listening to people whine about PoPo harassing them for acting like idiots and getting arrested for the warrants and drugs/guns they had on them at the time. Sounds to me like you just have a problem with Zimmerman. Good movie to watch : Crash with Don Cheatle.
Zimmerman was part of a neighborhood watch group hired by the housing community to drive around and look for guys like this - and I wouldn’t be there in the first place because it is a gated private community and I’d be trespassing. Btw, sweet innocnent trey was lit like a lamp on Sizzup and on probation. See? This can go round and round and I’m sorry, I get hear what your saying, just don’t agree. Dropped.
Just sorta comes off that way is all I’m saying. And btw, the number is 114 so far this year. The number of cops killed in the line of duty - mostly by firearms.
Yeah but Martn wasn’t trespassing, he was a guest of a resident. And Zimmerman didn’t know that he was on probation, for all he knew was coming back from piano lessons.
But.... I am not talking about police officers. I am talking about some guy that should have stayed in his lane and let the police do their job. Zimmerman should have identified what he thought was trouble and called the police. Where he messed up was following him both in the car and on foot. Just dumb. BTW, he sold the gun for 250k, what a loser.
