Agreed, and I made the mistake of not getting in the water this weekend. Took the lazy route and checked the cams without taking the 10 min drive for the actual visual. Spent most of the summer paddling into waves that were too mushy to provide any push for my two bills. Lesson learned.
best waves in at least a month and a half. Considering it was weak waist high dumpy windswell, that's depressing.
That's a very Darth Vader-esque quote PJB. Glad you scored. We had super glassy waist to rib high waves down here in Jacksonville this morning. The last 2 evenings have been awesome before sunset. Saturday night we scored chest high sets with minimal chop at my spot. Haven't been happier in a while I'm happy to report. Thanks for the positive vibes Bass. We were in need of a positive vibration mon!
and the forecast has been calling for much less, also happy to report..... ya bunch of innerweb Kooks
LOL, you're right about that. To my fellow SI folk. I'm freakishly ogre sized so actual waves may be bigger than I report. Also, to the Sharkhunter, it helps to check a few spots assuming you have the time. It was unrideable at in a bunch of places, but breaking just right where I ended up. Helps to bring fishing gear with you to the beach so it's not a wasted trip if you get skunked. Or you could just bring some meth and party if you don't surf.
Okay, well I'm out for session 3. It also helps to not be employed. I surf alot without a stupid job holding me back. I'll enjoy that now for the rest of you poor working men and women.
HAHA, so true, glad you scored bro, heading over this weekend, maybe Sunday if forecast holds, which it could easily shift to Saturday, but we'll see what happens.
+1 I second the first statement. And I must have been the best surfer this weekend, 'cause I had an effin blast!, despite taking the front of my board to my forehead. Spent so much time inside beautiful little barrels Saturday morning, I probably didn't need to apply sunscreen. Was having so much fun, that i didn't get out of the water for 6-7 hours. And then put in another 5 hours of water time in on Sunday! BOOYAA!!!
