Aloha Greg! This is funny cause I just private messaged a guy who started another thread where he explained he was from RVA. Small world. To answer your question, I'm a surfer in RVA and I actually run the surf club here at VCU. It's a real laid-back club where 10-15 of us actually participate and surf together on the regular. I'm originally from the Big Island so I'm sure we can talk story yeah? Where you from on Oahu btw? I have lots of family there. Anyways, I'll be making a day trip to VB on Thursday (conditions are looking pretty damn fun), and heading down to the banks friday night through sunday. RVA sponger here. I'm trying to at least hit VB Sunday for a day trip. If the forecast stays the same, this swell is going to be a lot of fun.
I live in Richmond ( started surfing 43 years ago) and make the dawn trek, usually to Sandbridge, when a swell is forcast and I can get away from responsibilities. Looks like Sunday is a go. If the wind behaves and the swell direction is right it could be very good. Looks like it will definitely have some size.
