No, but I did have a seal swim up to me while surfing Mission Beach. I thought it was a dog and I was like WTF?! Then I realized what it was as it swam away. It was only like 8 feet from me
Had one pop up literally right next to me when I was Santa Cruz a while back, then there were several down the beach, these dudes were surfing too, imitating what we were doing, pretty cool to see

Years ago I was surfing 2nd Light in FL. Sea turtle kept popping up in between me and a couple other guys, next thing I know this one dude starts screaming that something bit him. It wasn't a shark, so we thought it was the turtle. He ended up paddling in and we never saw the turtle again. I was cracking up

Anyone ever been bit by a duck? I had a loon bite my hand while I was doing on ocean swim, I thought it was a crab with great vertical leaping ability. He hooked up with me on my down stroke. I pulled him up and he looked at me with a 'WTF!, you're not a fish" expression, and I shook him off my hand. I only had had a beak mark, no damage except to my pride. There were some folks on the beach pointing and laughing.
Once I was surfing in Australia by myself on DP and I saw a gray fin swimming towards me. It was about 20 yards out and I thought it was the end. But it turned out to be a school of Dolphin
