just trying to see if any one has a waterlogged, broken, rotted board that they are willing to throw out into my trunk. i want to mess around with glassing and shaping and also want to make a wakesurfer and instead of buying i want to try and make my own board.

if your having to buy all the supplies to glass you should just spend the extra money and buy some foam .

yeah but why not save a board, im only gonna butcher a blank or a diy attempt, with an old board with a finished shape i figure i atleast have it cheated alittle.

you ever try to pull fiberglass off a board normally doesn't come out very well, pull up chunks of fiberglass leaving you with a jacked up piece of foam

get a fresh blank. all kinds of diff shapes and sizes available and rocker already established.for your 1st attempt just saw it down and do a basic rail and bottom. go easy you can always take more off but you cant put foam back on.

i already have done one but the board i got the whole topdeck was mush and i cut away all the spongy and seperated glass then went about reshaping and tapering the good existing glass, pritty much just the bottom deck was in good shape and a bit of the nose, to have a smooth strong lay up, it looks kinda cool with the new and old but you guys convinced me haha maybe diy attempt or i'll go to green light and see about old blanks
