Doesn't look like much, just take out a longboard and head for the surfing beaches during the day. Even though they are packed with out of towners who don't respect the lineup at all...

Man, it has come down to longboarding :( where on LBI are you from dude? I wouldn't mind all the kooks if they would learn how to drive! As for them out in the water, they are the WORST. Some kid about 3 weeks to a month ago almost killed me in cedars. His fins came about 2 inches from severing my left ear right off. I had the right of way and this dude just dropped in on me, i was F***** shocked. Next time im chasing whoever does not respect the rules all the way in to the beach so i can handle them on land.

I'm in peahala park, you know right next to the acme? Just yesterday I was surfing with some guys I know and all of a sudden 6 teenagers who drove down for the day decided to act like they had rights to every wave... Talking crap to little kids daring them to say a bad word to them and pushed them off their boards, while making fun of locals at the same time! It was pathetic but we didn't want to start anything, just kept our spot and tried to stay as far away from them as we could. Sure enough they got back in their car and left a couple hours later... That's another reason why I hate kooks...

You have so much more patience than me dude. Yea i know exactly where peahala is man, i grew up in beach haven. Every year it gets worse with these tourists. If i would have seen them doing that to local kids i would have went crazy and we paddle out like 8-10 people deep so they would have been in biiiig trouble. Id love to see them try that with people my age, they would never come to the island again. Who do you know on lbi? How old are you dude?

Yea it was only the three of us out there, so we were kind of outnumbered, but man did they suck at surfing, even the little locals were doing better then them lol. I'm 16 and I'm not sure if you know phil and donna from the acme surf and sport next to pinkys, but they are good friends of mine who taught me how to surf when I was little, still go surfing with those guys every now and then. I pretty much know everyone on 94th 95th 92nd and 91st street. That's pretty much it for me, how about you?

I don't think I know any of those guys either if we have a chance we'll try and paddle out with you guys soon. What street do you guys surf at? Hopefully they aren't as bad where you guys are. Have you heard about the ESA competitions going on lately on 106st. I went to go see two of them and I know there is one more left I'm thinking of signing up, but i don't think there will be much to surf lol.

I went out at taylor for a few hours, was actually a lot of fun around 4-6..

Im always at holyoke just because it so convenient to just ride up, but do my best to find some empty breaks --- especially on the weekends. found a few nice spots in holgate recently

damn... even when there are NO waves to speak of whatsoever there are still grubby little teenagers complaining about not getting respect in the water. out of towners not respecting the lineup when there is no lineup! IT'S BEEN FLAT FOR 2 WEEKS. GROW UP DORK!

FYI it's been packed over here even before the bertha swell came around.. And when I mean no respect I meant teens coming down for the day and think they own every wave that is actually rideable. I'm sorry but when everyone is waved starved, when a few come around ever 10 minutes I would actually want to ride one out of the set, without being yelled at or threatened by a bunch of 18 yearolds.
