I feel weird eating apples during the summer. I like New England apples when they come in the fall. They say that coating they put on other apples is no good. But I'm still gonna finish my apple.

I don't eat apples in the summer, because they don't taste good.

I do eat oysters in the summer, because they do taste good.

If you do, try them with hot sauce on them, like Louisiana / Tabasco type sh*t. Not my favorite thing in the world, but if someone is offering them I might have a few

    Fujis!

Late winter all the way through Spring Local Oysters....hmmmm. SS, you should try them steamed with lemon and tabasco. If you will go down on the clam, you should handle a steamed oyster

Man, lots of Sunil stylle sh!t going down today.

JayD, if I were to try them they'd be steamed. I can only eat clam raw.

Sorry, I don't eat oysters either. Many years ago (28), my wife and I did eat oysters. She ended up in the ER then up to ICU, with either red tide or botulism. Almost lost her in that one. So no filter feeders for me.
Apples--that is a Fall activity for us. Freshly picked Mcintosh....mmmmmmmm!!!

Howbout some mango? That's good summer stuff...it's got the piney sweet goodness and the closer you get to the center the more the texture is like a freshly shaven clam....I love that shyte
