    I hope you don't mind if I give you a few tips, just constructive criticism as I used to spend alot of time working with a b&w format & charcoals.

    First of all it's a cool idea, and the hand looks outstanding. Really great concept and execution in most aspects. When you're working with charcoal or pencils make sure you get enough contrast. If it's in a black and white format, make sure the black is present. The most amazing charcoal artists i've known go at it heavy as far as the darkness is concerned. (I'm sure the fact that it's a picture doesn't help the lightness) The only other thing I would change is the surfer. He just looks too thrown in there, I would have put him in more of a pose.

    Good stuff though, keep it up.

    i agree w/ steelwave, the surfer just looks tossed in there & seems randomly placed.

    other than that, i really dig the piece. it def. grabbed my attention w/ the hand & drew me in, which is a good thing. keep up the good work!

    the way you shaded the sky and the clouds is really cool
