Yes bro ME fall is beauty, especially on those warm days. I'll never forget catching a shoulder-high wave under a giant full moon at G**ch's on October 19th in 61 degrees and going down the line in the moonlight towards that building there that is all lit up at night. I posted about that drop in water temp here the other day. It was weird. Starting to crawl back up to low 60s again in EMass but we should be close to 70 by now. I blame it on contrails, Royboard exhaust, spogners and SUP kooks.
These are from July 3 at about noon in EI right after I got out of the water. The 4th was clean and a lot of fun here.
Oh dude I was pumped...funny thing is that pic was Friday, imo it was better than Saturday(which was supposed to be the day), aside from dodging lightning. I don't fux with lightning, if I see bolts, I'm outta the water.
I thought the same thing here on LI seldom, Friday was definitely the better day. Both days were fun though. Less wind ad crowd on Friday. Anyone get out today? Winds were onshore around 5-8 mph id say, chest/shoulder high and really fun. Faces had a little chop but they were lining up almost perfectly all the way to shore. Id say today was bigger then Friday/Saturday during the mornings. Not as good conditions but I don't mind a nice sized light onshore day.
Dude I swear as the day went on they were getting punchier too, despite no change in period on the buoy. Scored a couple hours of pure glass early, then the rest of the day was offshore.
It is a bit smaller here and the wind is a bit stronger, but I am glad to have the south wind pushing warm water back in. It must have dropped 15 degrees between Friday morning and Saturday morning, now it feels like we're almost back where we started.
some island south of OCMD Friday evening. sorry for the low quality was taken with phone right before i got in. does give a good idea of what was going on. was pretty fun. Saturday was fun all day just not worth posting
I have not seen it but it most have been way way way downtown, very close to long beach. as stated, I was surfing a very western area of long island.... and the waves were lacking. Swell never made it up to us.
Surfed OCNJ in the morning and it was complete junk. Checked it again at 130 after the rain and wind and it was firing and fun. Surfed from 2-330 and it was well overhead on the biggest sets and lined up. Got out at 330, walked back to the house to get the family, walked back up 45min later and it had already dropped to head/shoulder. Caught it at it's peak and it was totally worth it. Really fun hour.
CBLACK - were you at the north end? We had good size but the rides were pretty short on most of them down in the 50s. Kinda funny that winds were often so strong that smaller surfers, including some of the little rippers were getting blown back and had a hard time catching them. Despite the size, i didn't find it at all heavy. Little issue paddling out and close outs didn't hurt either. I didnt see much overhead, but then again, i am taller than the average guy in the lineup. South end is usually a bit smaller anyway. It was crazy crowded but few people actually catching waves.
A couple shots from Hilton Head Island on Thursday when the offshores died down a bit later in the day

Good point bro. Even more reason for zach to post pics up. Pics and vids of goofy riders are always so much better to see when you ride goofy yourself.
Haha. No, those aren't me. They are the only photos I have been able to find from Hilton Head that day. Those are just photos that atlanticpaddlesurf.com posted. They are the only photo/media outlet that ever really produce shots on HHI. They must have planned to go to this particular spot to get a photo session in, because me and every other surfer on the island were up at the "usual" spot. I saw cameras out all morning, so I know someone is holding.
Well, I would need a pier for that. We don't have any on this little island. I will have my pro photog/wife be on stand by next time we visit the west coast. And she had "BETTER" invest in a larger zoom len, or we are going to have serious marital issues moving forward.
Fun day at Tybee for sure on the 3rd. Making me really excited to see what else is gonna come this hurricane season. Btw these are pics of the smaller sets as i was in the water at the peak of the swell, also some of the pics are edited and the originals were accidentally deleted. Hope everyone else had as much fun as i did!
