Hey guys, I was just curious what everyone's feelings were on the new system the ASP has put in place for watching the contests; namely, how do you guys feel about ZoSea making ASP a brand and a center place for pro surfing? Just based on the past two days of the Quik Pro, I'm a fan. Its going to be way easier to simply go to the ASP website to see the new webcast. I even like the increase in commercials, so far they're well placed and don't interrupt the action while offering a break from staring at guys sitting on their boards. Call it commercialization, but I think it just feels more professional. Even the commentators have been trying to make the webcast more in depth, talking about board size and some of the history between competitors a lot more.
1) They're throwing the money into the Women's tour that should have been thrown into it years ago 2) Dry, but professional presentation 3) More events On these terms I'm all for it. The site takes a little re-learning to access the features the previous one had, but it's not all that bad. Sure it's more commercialized, but that's what it takes to fund professional sports. I'm not down with how much cutting to commercial is going on, but it's still not nearly as commercialized as other professional sports.
