Sharks are always around, but its the chance of if they are going to beat you or not.

sharks are everywhere regardless of if they are being caught or washing up.

    our friends

let me know when a shark walks out of the water and into a bar and orders a beer (maybe even a land shark) and then i'll be surprised . . .going to shark fish in the surf friday at night with bunker chunks and wire there's been browns, duskys, threshers and large dogfish around my fishing half will be anxiuosly waiting for the rod to bend while my surfing half wll be somewhat relieved it's still flat. . .but really bull sharks are one of the worst and florida is ridiculous when you're surfing there it just feels like a matter of time but it seems like a lot more nips and stitches there then getting eaten alive

    Basic Rule of Thumb

Stick finger in water, taste finger, if salty, sharks are present!!

The local sharks (0-5 miles out)around here are more scared of you then we are scared of them, well at least most of us. Just watch out for threser's, have a very long tail which will whip you if you get close enough and it feels in danger. Keep away from the bunker schools!

Guess if we can't surf we can certainly accept the humor generated by reading these posts...
