drill won't begin to probe for about a decade.

I'm all for offshore wind energy. There are locations off the coast that are prime spots for wind farms. Essentially, they'll act as these "artificial reefs" that were mentioned earlier, and would provide a steady supply of electricity. So there ya go...

 

This is also a great step right here. Reduction of demand. If our houses become self-sustaining units, that will really be the next great step in society.

 

I think my buddy said he had to pay $x upfront and finance, with credits. He did mention the payment was similar to his electric bill from before. This is Oahu Electric Prices too, which ain't cheap!

PJ have your heard of the solar decathlon? I checked it out in DC a couple of years ago. A bunch of the Universities from around the globe erect 500 sq ft houses that are self sustaining. Pretty unbelievable where we could be and where we are (or are not).

Right now oil rules, like it or not. Should we make a change to other sources of energy. Sure. It is a great idea, for a lot of reasons.
Let me ask you all--how many of you have put your money where your mouth is?? If you want windmill companies to succeed--invest in them. Prefer nukes - invest with them. Calling your Senator etc is a waste of time; you all know why.
