Woah king micah hath returned? someone please elaborate. heres my two cents: It was a valient battle on both sides, excellent tactics used by both parties. I think my feelings have been made clear on how i feel about a non surfer moderating a surf forum so i will not re-iterate them. HOWEVER, ever since the great Holiday Swellicide of 2017 ended and the peace was brokered between Dsup and Austin I have been content. We can all post with relative freedom now, there is no more mass purging occurring (for now), and besides the occasional condescending jab Austin and the Mod Squad are safely within the woodwork. So for now I suggest that people simmer in their own juices a bit longer before breaking any sort of peace because things seem to be getting good again around here. As long as the members remember that mods can ban them and make them do the I.P. runaround (if they care enough), and the moderators remember that the members are the core of this site and can use multiple means of cyber-civil-disobedience at their disposal i forsee no resurgence of simod9 - simod24 regards -the swellinfo team

The entire MSW 'takeover' never happened because wayne the insaaaaane ratted out all the SI Forumites to the mods. Mods then immediately banned the shiiiite out of a lot of guys. I was away in CR when TSHTF. The mods action definitely signaled a new, and worse, era here on Yee Olde Forume. Here's why. Why should the mods on this site give a rat's ass what individual Swellies do? Answer: they shouldn't. Secondly, the MSW mods have their site firmly under control, and always have. All the 'takeover' was, was like a bunch of guys talking funny beer talk. Nothing would have happened. It was hilarious to read the tread leading up to the non-event. It wasn't funny to witness how the SI mods way, way over-reacted to the event that never even happened. SImods might think that they were he ones who stopped the 'takeover' of MSW. In reality, MSW didn't need nor want their help; MSW wouldn't have let our guys past their castle moat. Unfortunately, the SI bannings en masse set a dangerous precedent against freedom of speech. And that's today's history lesson, sparkiez.
