have a vegemite sandwich happy to help; no charge or strings attached. fly into sydney; go to (i think its) crown street in west southwest sydney. thats where the car dealers are. if you're going to do oz YOU MUST rent or buy a car; buying better. my first trip there i bought an old holden for $490/ sold it when i left 6 months later for $450. ( a hottie bought it but i digress). from there go to the northern sydney suburb of narrabeen which has a campground thats 100 yards from north narrabeen where the surf is often described as 'DREAMY.' relax there for a week or so then begin the trip north or south or west - whatever you want. the surfers way to see oz is to drive from 'caravan park to caravan park' so many of which are direct oceanfront in surfy areas. let me know and i'm happy to share dozens of spots i know.
