Check out what the hillbillies in Florida built. Kyle, you'll be right at home, perhaps you should have held off on your house and waited for one of these? https://www.babcockranch.com/ http://www.foxnews.com/science/2018...e-is-first-solar-powered-town-in-america.html
This is what happens when the feds pick and choose winners (i.e. stifling solar every chance they get), it leads to this collectivist crap. FPL now working with Chinese manufacturers to build farms in the middle of FL. Makes me sick I have solar to be INDEPENDENTLY self sufficient, not this garbage. These are the yuppies I hate being tied to the solar movement, sigh....
LOL I thought it might get a reaction from you. Wasn't sure how you felt about it. Politics of it aside, I think it's a cool idea to get more things working off of solar. We really are missing the boat on that as a society I think. I wouldn't mind doing it like you do though, being independent, off the grid.
Yuppie Landia!!! Just wait until such time as a major hurricane wipes out their solar panel fields. They are going to be sweating their tree-hugging, patchouli smelling, Birkenstock wearing, liberal asses of into their alligator filled synthetic ponds. I give it 3 years, at best.
I just did a media project for some clients in the Florida Keys and Key West. For a bunch of Birkenstock wearing sword swallowers, they are doing quite well, all things considered, after Irma ran up in there. Some hardy cupcakes down there.
I’m sure they’ll be fine. My thinking is if they can keep the solar panels safe during storms, which I’m sure they have thought that through, then they should actually have an advantage when everybody’s power goes out on the grid.
