For anyone who knows me, this may be somewhat of a shock but on July 3rd I was involved in a motor scooter accident in Ocean Pines. I spent a week in the hospital, 3 days of which I was in a coma and then the next 3 weeks were spent in an outpatient clinic. Somewhere along the line I had a few strokes also. I am blesses to even be alive and the fact that I am close to normal is just a blessing in itself. The near future of waves is looking bleak but maybe for me that is a good thing while I finish recovering. I don't mean to fill the blog up with irrelevant things but swellinfo has become somewhat of a second family to me over the last couple of years. I look forward to seeing everyone in the water during the next swell.
Wow... that sucks, but you must be doing something right to come out of that situation as well as you did. Take it easy getting back into things. The ocean isn't going anywhere. I'm sure next time your out waiting for a set you'll have a newfound gratitude, which is a good thing. Glad to hear your alright, and hopefully you'll be back in soon sharing waves with everyone.... the good seasons coming!
sorry to hear about your misfortune, but glad to know you are recovering well. focus on healing, the waves will always be there.
Good luck with your recovery and keep thinking those positive thoughts. And you're correct, you arn't mising much.
