If you have been here awhile you know where I stand on wetsuits. I just repace my 7 year old Hyperflex 3/2 with a brand new 3/2 amp . It didnt get replace cause of workmanship the zipper got jammed at the bottom and I broke it trying to fix it myself. Not to shabby for 7 years of use . Wife bought me a new 3/2 for my B-day

Is the chest zip on the amp open on both sides, or just one-side, similar to the ripcurl "batwing" entry?

ON my 3/2 amp the zipper opens all the way , on my 5/4/3 flow it zips to one side

I had a buddy who tore a big hole in the shoulder of his excel 5/4/3. He sent it back and they repaired that and did some other repairs all for no charge. If your gear didn't do what you expected it, I recommend sending it back and asking the company to make it right. You'll be surprised what they'll do for you to keep you happy.

Ya my oneil boot broke the zipper first time out just putting it on, but i sent it back and got a new one
