Just saw this one on ESPN. Never slack lined, yet, but I do lots of Indo board, it really helps. Does anyone have any good, fun, balance drills?
Only balance-related thing I do is shred the carver, sometimes trying to push the envelope on turns and such. I could see how balance training would be beneficial tho fosho.
Whenever I walk out of a store/gas station etc., I hit the parking blocks like I am walking the nose lol!
Get a foam block or small Bosu ball and do one legged stands for 45 second shots. Once you get there clean, slowly add shallow squats - And I mean shallow - to get those small muscles working. Seriously, it’s a simple set of exercises that work wonders for balance and strength, especially if your shredding waves. That takes lots of “hidden” strength that these will develop.
A bosu ball?? WTF?? What's next? Tofu sandwiches?? Granola?? Drink beet juice?? What the fuccc has happened to the surfing world?? Next thing you know some gay surfing moron is going to be suggesting yoga......
Well, you can try standing on a wobbly rock or a tree branch and do them. And what’s wrong with Tofu??? It makes a wonderful sanding block when it dries out.
Sounds kinda similar to a workout i do. I believe they are called "clock squats" or somthing. Basically stand on once foot and reach the other leg out and tap the floor with your all around the "clock". Standing on your left leg and tapping 12-3 is easy.... but when you get towards 7,8,9... it's tough. I also have a "goof board". It's awesome and waaaaaay more practical then an indo board....
It looks like a mathematical equation for “blood is thicker than water”. I fail miserably at math and chemistry so I just take chemicals
