Beach Replenishment Hits A Major Snag

    For those of us who follow the feeble human attempts at stopping what Mother Nature has decreed as the course of events.....

    Where Sand Is Gold, the Reserves Are Running Dry
    Broward County is exploring the cost of recycling glass to fill small gaps in its beaches — it is more costly than offshore sand, but it is not yet clear by how much. Broward would also have to find a nearby facility to process the glass and complete the final phase of its environmental study.

    I read that Broward County wants to buy and pump sand from off shore central Florida.
