"if you wanna go out, go. if you can handle it what the **** is a goddamn ticket gonna do. pay it or don't, whatever, who gives a flying ****. what are they gonna do chase you down over a few bucks. waves don't compare to money and I'm pretty sure a solid day working at Mcdonalds would probably pay the ****ty fine they give you. if not, just say **** um, don't pay it. go to court and **** and deal. or just don't pay the greedy assholes. "

wow, you really should stop to think before you talk (type). I'm gonna school you real quick on your post. If you get a ticket and decide, as you put it, 'f_-k um' and not pay it/go to court, you will definitely get a warrant for your arrest. It doesn't matter how much money the ticket is for. An open container fine is like $40, and they'll put a bench warrant out for that. If you think they're kidding or playing around try em. It'd be great to get arrested at some later date for a fine you didn't pay.

Also, as another post post said 'lifeguards can't stop you.' I don't know what beach patrol you're talking about, but the guards with balls WILL stop you from going out. I was a guard for a long time and I had to stop plenty of dudes from going out. Not what i wanted, but you gotta do what the chief tells you. The guards may or may not call the coast guard, but i'll bet you'll have a couple guys in blue waiting for you when you get out.

You guys need to remember that a lot of guards aren't just kids in high school or college. Some of these guys are teachers and firemen who guard also. Most of these guys aren't they're to break your balls, only to keep you safe and do their job. If you get into trouble out there, they might not be able to make it out to you. Then if something happens to you, your family will sue for the guards not doing their job. It all comes down to liability. If you don't want to deal with the guards, go out before 10 or after 6.

And NO, lifeguards don;t have police authority. They used to back in the day, but found out that it wasn't such a good idea.

Like everyone else, I WILL be out there. You just have to know where to paddle out. Also, if they don't have time to tell you no, then you're ok. So just know where you're gonna go, run down the beach and jump in.

I'm not really sure what this swell is actually going to do, but I hope everyone is smart enough to realize their own skill level. Be safe out there and have fun. And remember, don't count on someone else to save YOUR life.
