Yeah, that was an interesting perspective for sure. I think we are a year or so away from another major replenishment down my way. There is one stretch of beach that they did here in 2012. I surfed it for the first time about a month ago. It was fun, but total shorepound. I had to research what the deal was and as soon as I googled it, I found the 2012 project where they did it right there. But to me, the jury is still out with regards to what everything will be like when they hit the whole coast again. I wasn't around here 8 years ago when they did it last, so I have no idea how different things got, but the one thing I will say, is that the replenished area definitely had a ton of power to it. So, hopefully the results will bring some extra punch to some of our spots down here. They break pretty far out (by EC standards) right now, so if there could be some middle ground, where they could break closer to shore with some heave to it on an average day, I would be pretty happy with that.

OBX and Maryland are a lot different, but the quote from Matt Lusk is one of the first positive replenishment statements I have heard from the surfing world. I just always remember Delmarva breaking closer and having the shorepound on small to medium days growing up. I never really remember it changing drastically. It was just the norm to me.

It will probably result in shorepound junk, but one can hope I suppose. Cause it was weird surfing shorepound on an LB, but it was still fun as hell.

And maybe it's just the spots/photos you post, but I find all the photos you post of Delmarva to be super inviting and it always look well shaped. Last time I surfed up there, there were 20-30 block stretches that weren't even breaking, but the surfable areas were in good shape. Obviously you are taking shots of the better spots, but I would certainly be happy with the conditions that you share with us on the regular.

OCMD did suck. I didnt surf Wednesday but all week before would have been so fun but the waves were breaking right on the beach. Stand up boogie was the call. Still got some fun ones.
