So every morning when i get to work i do a little browsing over a cup of coffee. I usually hit the news, swellinfo, the facebook, and craigslist board listings.... and it paid off.... I picked up a brand new board in my exact dims (6'4x20x2.5) for 100 bucks last night. BRAND NEW. No logo, not signed by a shaper, but it looks like a solid shape. Nice meaty hp shortboard. 100 BUCKS!!!!!. Win-win.
Yeah man good call, I've bought all 4 of my boards on craigslist. Most I've spent on one was $125 for a custom AJW shaped for Rob Brown (rides for Zoo York). You can find some sick deals on there for sure
yeah, craigslist for LA, SF, NY, CHI, SD etc... are off the charts... there are thousands of posting per minute. I would say there are 20-30 new boards on my local one everyday... I got a 70 inch HD tv from some rich a-hole who upgraded 2 years ago. It was like a 2,000 dollar tv and I paid $50.00 and had to haul it... I have gotten tons of free sh** off there too... When i first moved out west and was a surf-bum kid, I would post messages about how I was broke and needed replacement fins or a board. I was donated 2 boards and multiple sets of old FCS fins.... I have gotten free mecahnical work... I used to have a jeep. I would post motor head questions in the Auto section, and 20 guys would hit me back saying, dude bring it by, i will check it out for free... I mean, you can use it for anything. I posted an ad looking for a Ravens Bar, and found out Chris Mcallister owns a bar 3 miles up the road!!! Not to mention you can even buy hookers on it! Not bad!

Yeah, we all got to know the real craig a few years back when someone killed a hooker from a craigslist ad... His face was all over the bay area for a while... Not sure how they make so much money. No ads. You really only have to pay for employment ads.... interesting financial figures.

Either one is pretty awesome. Anyways, he then posted up on his facebook "just put out another craigslist sex ad, y'all better step yo game up"
No kidding, almost 9 pages this week just S.D. area. Just blown away what their asking for old "Skip Frye's" His old sticks bringing more $$$ than earlier shapers of his era, One of his Eagle LB was $2800 on craigslist and cheaper fun shape that was 70's vintage G&S Frye shaped rode hard hung up wet for $1200.
