Favorite board ever is a 5'5 Jimmy Keith shaped "Sled Zeppelin". It was the first Sled Zeppelin ever built, and I bought it second hand.

I have paddled it into everything from head high(+) peelers to tiny summertime chop. Best of all, I have had it 6 years and only had to fix a handful of dings. Jimmy really builds a great board.

I remember when my buddy brought it out for the first time after he got it brand new. It was straight out of "Wayne's World".... She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.

chilli rare bird- stringerless eps with carbon. Hands down best hybrid style board i have owned, and top 3 boards I've ever ridden.. When i damaged it on my barbados trip this year, I didn't hesitate to order another. It is literally the fastest board I have ever ridden, period.

This one's tough. Diffrent boards for diffrent conditions so hard to say the best. But

The 6'6 shelter bonzer i picked up on here is amazing. For me it's more like a mini gun. But it's special to me. The stoke from the guy who sold it to me, the fact that it was a board i never thought I'd own when i first saw it at like age 14 then probably 10 years later i owned it, and ofcourse the board itself. It's just a board that will always mean something to me. I can't touch it without admiring it for at least 15 min.

And my mini sims. The board blew me away and still does. It's versatility, how well it surfs crap, how fun it is in bigger stuff. It's just a blast. And ooooozes flow. Funny thing is i tend to hate quads. But when i pop up on that thing and get the first pump in... it's like the board and my body are just on the same page and magic happens.

My standard SB is fun. It's a custom. Still tweaking things to get it perfect. But it's on its way to becoming a dream board

    7’0 single fin/mid length/fun shape

Picked this thing up a few months ago. Very similar to my first surf board. Made me fall in love with surfing again. I love a good short boart, when it’s called for, but this past year in San Diego has been pitiful. Small & gutless waves. This board makes ankle high a blast

It’s hard to say... conditions make you choose different favorite/best boards...

I have a stretch superbuzz that is magic. Sometimes it gets squirly when it’s too big but man I love the board. Maybe my all time fav. I also had a Hawaiian Designs board from the late 80s that I cut the nose off of and the thing was magic.

Hard call- maybe not the best board- but my most memorable board was an Ashton that I got for like 50$ on consignment at Eastern Lines in Belmar, NJ. Probably a good 15yrs ago. It was half buckled on the bottom, hence the price. I fixed it and surf it and traveled with it for a many years until it snapped - but amazing not at the buckle lol...

It was an Ashton somewhere around 7ft. Swallow tail and it had 6-Channels on the bottom, exactly like the Byrne 6 Channel set up. Thing was faster then anything and perfect for bigger waves... miss that board... wonder how much better it surfed originally w/o the buckle.

I forget the original owners name, but he was an OG local guy who had it shaped for a surf trip to indo

One of the only pictures I have of the board- but hard to see the board...

As far as favorite, I did just have a board shaped this fall by a friend and local shaper here in moco - quickly becoming an all time fav...

8'6" Ricky Carroll HPLB that I bought before I had a clue what I was buying. When I was a true newb, I surfed it in every condition and was often properly pummeled for my ignorance.
Now that I have some experience in surfboarting the board is magical on the properre wavee...

Did you or do you or your buddy ever surf Sunskipper? It's a stretch but about 7 years ago I was talking to some one who just got a Sled Zep and was super stoked on it! I stopped them by the access and asked them about it.

I surf there occasionally but I don't think it was me. The sled zeppelin is one of Jimmy's off the shelf boards now so there are a bunch of them out there. Mine is green with black stripes, the only one like it that I know of. If you see that board please say hi!

    Gordon & Fish Magic Round-pin, 7'8".
And best by far. Easy in waves, and rides like a 5'8. Rides 2-3 foot waves, and also have had it out in 12-14 ft faces.
I still have it--will be buried with it. My only regret is that it doesn't have a vagina.....

Great shape... hate the fins. Doesn't even work conceptually. Compared to a keel fin, they have no drive. So you have a fairly traditional (but modified) fish shape, with a "split keel" quad setup? Makes no sense to me. I had a pair and gave them away.

Others may disagree, but you need that long base, short aspect ratio fin for a fish to ride like a fish.

Best SB is my 6’4” Coil Flashback Fish, best LB is my custom Single Fin 9’ Orion HPLB. Both I have had for a while now and both still ride and nearly look as good as new. I have grown so much as a surfer because of these boarts and the time I have spent on them. I love my other boarts but these two get the most attention.

Damn right. My first JK board was a Whiskey Fish from his Greenroom days. I have had at least 3 or 4 since then. Speaking of Greenroom... he was the only thing that place had going for it. Such a strange company... are they even still in business?

Anywho, glad to see the forum showing love for Jimmy today. I hope he or one his peeps sees this thread.
