Best guy at Pipe??

hes definitely up there man. his footage from Who is J.O.B. is unreal. o and i saw that video this morning. that's crazy haha. doing that at backdoor or otw is nuts

 

I don't know why but I'm not that impressed by that. Seems a little out of the box as far as surfing tricks go. I'd much rather see him stick that tail slide after the barrel than a board transfer. However, I definitely couldnt do that or even ride that wave for all i know so I prob shouldnt be talking.

 

Wow that is a really careless thing to do in a crowded lineup like that? Didn't someone tell him that the plank might HIT someone????

I mean, I hear you and all, it's sort of a silly trick, but he has stuck tail slides after barrels for years and I can understand why he'd be interested in messing around with other stuff to keep it interesting for himself.

Seems like he's become bored with getting barreled and just wants to go out there and keep having fun. That's what we're all in it for... or should be... or at least started out to be. Aside from maybe being a bit jaded, in the end, he's not saying it's hard, or serious... he just wants to have fun. The kid's already proven he's good. Let him get his kicks. I'll bet he came up after that fall laughing his head off. I think it's awesome.
