Hey i live in NJ and i ride a 6 3' carbon fiber as my short board im 6 4' so it works great. But the carbon fiber is so high performance you cant ride it in small surf at all, and as you no Nj has alot of that. so i was wondering wat is a good board i can ride in NJ in like ankle to chest surf or bigger but i do have my other board. i was looking at a couple of fishes but i want to hear other opinions. Thans for any help
lost rnf is a fun board in smaller surf. maybe some kinda fish hybrid can work too. i'm looking into them as well.
buy the chemistry DISK. its awesome for small to chest, ive been using it the past week and a half. I got it in 5'4. its awesome you get past close outs reall fast and easy and you get tons of speed. It usually has two side bites and a longboard fin in the middle.( the board i have is 5'4x3'x23) for the middle buy a 7 inch cutaway fin. this board works awesome, and you can still do some good tricks too, its a good summer board, and maybe winter ill see. take a look, oh and its cheap. http://chemistrysurfboards.com/?cat=10
I have an Ashton version of a modern RNF that is my go to board in thigh or less. I got carbon fiber FCS twin fins with a smaller trailer. this set up works great although I am really intrigued about getting the same board with a quad set up.
I had a local shaper in asbury park (chris chaize, brian wynne glasses the boards) make me a quad fish before the start of the summer, it's the best summer board I've ever had. I suggest getting any sort of fish.
