    looked through a couple....nice

i've watched a couple flicks (againe) recently -view from a blue moon & psychic migrations- and found some music that I wouldn't otherwise find in my own general wheelhouse of music if I hadn't watched the films

    thanks for the advise!

Best surf video soundtrack: Secret Machine. Came out 2006ish and I still listen to the tunes.

Mine would be sprout. Super mellow and just follows the style of the surfers in the video. I am biased because I get kind of a hard on for Thomas Campbell anything...

Second would be Thicker Than Water. Jack Johnson has always been a G even though he was pretty mainstream for a while, I never quit liking his style.

Was waiting for someone to say Thicker Than Water. One of my all time favorite surf flicks, and the music fits the scenes perfectly.

Kinda surprised that I haven't seen any love for Pink Floyd in "Crystal Voyager" from O Barry's era. You know, back when Birdwell's were made from Pterodactyl skins.

did the crusty curmudgeon get banned againe?

    awesome lists so far, thanks!

I think ive come to find one reason I enjoy surf so much is that it embraces sub-culture much the same way a lot of my favorite tunes do...another thing is that it collects from a variety of different sub-cultures, in this case here music, and id really like to expand my music horizon. like anything what I already have can feel crusty and myopic sometimes, to the point that I don't even want to listen to what I own. this helps refresh that, as well as view surfing through a different lens.

    keep it comin!
