All the ones I have had give the high and low times as well as the corresponding +- feet it will be. So I'm guessing that is the same as amplitude? I usually don't pay too much attention to the feet because I'm not sure what the average high or low is in feet. I just look at the chart function too see if it is gonna be a really high high tide or a low high tide and vice versa. I think the real fancy ones throw in moon phase too.

 

nah. for different things. Have one for work that is more professional looking, then 2 that are more 'fashion' oriented for hitting the town, and 2 more for surfing and other sports.

Do not get a Nixon !!! Do not get a Nixon !! Do not get a Nixon !! They are sheeeiit . Girl Paid 450 for a tide watch for big rando's B day and fogged up 10 min into water . Sent it back . Did it again . Sent it back then was fine for 6 months then the Mercury or digital goo bled on to the face causing catastrophic failure . Called them . Sorry that's wear and tear ?!?!? I wore a tide watch in the water 4 times and it broke 3 times . I'm actually sending it back and telling them to keep it for parts . Get a freestyle or g shock . Cheap $$

That was about 5 years ago and prices have gone down to 250 for the same watch . Ya a year warranty they told me that to but after fog lense #2 was fixed it was a year and after that it was BS I had already initiated the 3rd problem and said it was past the time limit and I was screwed . Hope u have better luck big boy

I've have two nixons, one is about 10 years old, and the lowdown II the wife got me (will be a year ago this June). Never had a problem with either. Sucks that others have had bad experiences; maybe I've just been lucky.
