BEST TIME TO SURF Playa Grande/North CR?!

    Booking my 2nd trip to Costa this week. I went last year in late Jan for 10 days and only got about a 2 or 3 days of swell.. SKUNKED!.. Looking at what month to go back and a friend who works at Hotel Bula Bula in Playa grande said APRIL is the best month to come down. Does anyone have any first hand experience hitting up CR in april? When are conditions the cleanest and biggest??

    Never been there before but if you check wannasurf.com, surfline.com, or just google that sh*t, i'm sure you could find the information you are looking for. The 1st two will even tell you what the ground has on it, i.e. sea urchin, reef, etc., as well as crowd / localism levels. Check em out

    Been there three times every time end of april/beginning of march and it's been great every time. I don't think there was a single day on any of those trips where there wasnt something surfable within driving distance. But it's also the beginning of the rainy season, so tourists tend to fade off then.
