While, it is true that the closer Igor gets to us, the stronger the swell will be... For us here, in the Mid Atlantic, however, the closer that Igor gets, the more likely that we will see Northerly winds junk up a bunch of areas. The latest update, shows Earl slightly to the East of the previous guidance, which helps the wind situation around Sunday (mostly north of VA). At this point though, I would say, get on those offshore winds on Friday if you can with the building swell... Friday looks promising for many Mid Atlantic areas. Hurricane Center
