    Waiting period starts today. Forecast looking opposite of last year's. Expect them to run long days in crap surf.

    Should be interesting watching chest high barrels breaking in 4" of water

    For those doing the Fantasy Surfer thing, here's my team:
    JJF
    Pupo
    Both 'Goods
    KS
    Jordy
    Spartan
    Freddy P

    Had to switch out Jezza for the Spartan because I would have had 3 surfers in the last heat of Round 1. I may switch out Freddy for Ricardo Dos Santos last minute too.

    Thanks for posting these guys! I loved watching the US Open in Huntington even though the waves weren't much better than here in Charleston during the event.

    Expecting a little better for this event.

    smaller surf forecasted so i'm leaning toward more versatile guys that can get in the barrel and throw big airs

    They're better than Huntington.... not good for Chopes, though. Forecast looks pretty dismal--must have blown their load and cashed in all their karma for last year's event.

    Joe Turpel... can't stand him but I understand since Billawrong can't afford Sal Masakela being that they are about to go into bankruptcy and all.

    They are definitely having to work some gremlins out of the webcast too.
