where's the body? I'm not convinced he's even dead. Based on what? Based on a claim from some corrupt bankrupt beyond belief organization ie. the federal govt.......i'm just saying. The media is running wild....but where is the proof? Why the heck did they toss the body into the ocean? Do you really think that has eased the tension among muslims? They're like "oh ok..that's cool. As long as he was buried within 24 hrs. All good yo" Yeah OK...wtf? My eyes are open. I need more than he said she said. he was islamic and the islamic burials can either be bury in the ground or buried at sea. and then the US didnt want him as it would mean ppl could worship his grave and that would give an excuse for some terrorist to attack. then no other country wanted him as others could make a shrine or memorial out of the spot and give them a place to honor him, which he does not deserve.

Muslim bodies can only be buried at sea in certain rare and extreme situations, like being out to far from land to make it back in a day. Muslim clerics are kinda pissed and saying what the american government did was wrong. He was killed on land and should be buried in the land.

the special forces liaison interviewed today pointed out that this operation, which was planned months ago, was supposed to try to get him alive, but he fought back when they landed and they wanted no chance to lose him again. he was buried at sea to comply with HIS religion's dictates for a timely burial...trying to avoid pissing off more fundamentalist reactionaries. obama is of course not going to go there personally... he's commander in chief... and unlike bush, who famously said " i don't know where he is. i don't think about him," it is clear it was on obama's list of sh!t to do. sorry if it doesn't fit your political agenda.

reality: obama and his team got it done, using his authority and the methods at his disposal. that's how it works, regardless as to what fox news tells you.

The body of bin laden would serve as a constant reminder of his death and would make him more of a martyr than he already is to those who choose to follow him, hence burying him at sea. now nobody will have a place to praise or worship this villain if they were to so choose. 2. Obama did not just sit in his office and let this play out in front of him. that is like saying eisenhower sat back and watched d-day like a puppeteer. he and several assistants have been planning this for years. the CIA has been following a lead for almost 9 years. and regarding the pay cuts, obama has known about this compound and operation since august. he knew that he was going to cut the pay of the SEALs he would then use to take down this man. he didnt cut the pay, find out about the opportunity and then send those same men. 3. nobody wants bin laden on display in the heart of the world's most prosperous city. that is something the afghans or pakis would do, but not we americans. we dont display a human as a show.4. regarding the taxidermy... refer to number one. bin laden was an al qaeda figure head who was seen as a symbol for evasiveness versus the most powerful seeker in the world. his downfall was not that of a leader, but that of a symbol to all of his followers—we are america. we are swift; we are silent; we are strong we will go into your country, take the most terrorizing man in the world and leave before you even realize we were there. as for domestic effects, obama has gained massive political power and support for both current issues and the upcoming election. im excited to see what happens coming up. yeah im a history geek. im 17 and take classes on all this s h i t, thats how i know this. sorry for the mondo post.

 

Obama Gave the order the seals went in and took care of buisness. I dont like how Obama is getting all this Praise from the News . He said " Take him out if need be" thats it . The Seal Pulled the trigger he or she should get the Praise.

BTW According to his religion soon as he died he became a martyr . His body doesnt have to be present or any type of shine . His death for his belifes make him a martyr. CIA has been following leads for 9 years Yes has been know for awhile. They new about the compund since august and have been training in a Full scale model for Bin Ladens compound. Can Far as they coming in and out without being seen . It didnt happen that way they were under heavy fire and one of there Choppers had mechanial issues and was destoryed by the seal as they left the compound.
