Heard LI got slammed. I'm up in Albany and they predicted a foot and we got a dusting. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it for the snow coming today..
Ha now that is a funny post! Did somebody want to go outside in the middle of the night in a snowstorm? Also you northern folk, how much snow did ya'll get? I see here on the picture box that NY City got less than a foot but the powers that be had freaked out and shut everything down. Thats sucks. We got no white stuff here but it's colder than a witches titty in a brass bra doing a push up in the snow.
Yeah NYC shut down all transportation at 11PM last night, but opened it back up this morning. Suffolk county is still on a travel ban and probably will be for a while.
Why hello there, I thought about a hello thread, but figured since I'm not actually new (damn site updated meant I had to remember my login. Impossible) a hello post would suffice. So hello I'm BassMon2! LI got hit pretty good. Got about a foot and a half, 2 feet in some areas. The damn wind though, theres a spot in my back yard that was sheltered from the wind and it's only a few inches. You go out to the front yard and there's spots where it's piled up to atleast 2 feet. The travel ban was lifted but I got a buddy further east who still has it in effect in his area. Even here the roads still ain't great. Main roads are passable but lots of side streets are still really rough. Surfs looking good from what Iv seen in cams, hoping the wind gets to a more manageable range by the time I'm done digging out so I can get on that!
Dis tread is long. And you started it Moonbeam. Buoy got up to 29.2ft. Wish it got to 30. Boston is straight up snowbound. I left the coast for once during a storm and stayed with a wahine in the city. Had some frustration with the snow when I went outside at first but then accepted it. Acceptance is key. Took a walk through the Arboretum area and it was pretty damn nice. Thought of Ryan McCall when I saw people on snowshoes and x-country skis. I guess we are supposed to brace all forms of nature. Maybe surf tomorrow if winds allow and life is accessible. There's a lot of snow out there man. We will be thankful for spring. Btw, anyone else eat 8,000 cals last night? I definitely did. There's not much else to do but eat, jam and watch movies when a city is shut down and a travel ban is in effect.

Our cold snap is coming tomorrow. Of course this is my three day surf weekend. And I shouldn't complain when our cold snap is a low of 20 and a high of 34... and in a month it will start to be consistently 60's and 70's... and the water is still above 50... yeah... Viva la south.
Lol yeah bro your snap is a heat wave to New England right now. I do care enough for my people to look at the forecast there. On top of snow each day including blizzards, it's a high in just more than teens through Monday with lows near zero. Props to anyone there not homicidal or suicidal by now.
My best surfing bro, and I mean the only guy I would actively seek out to hang and surf with, moved from Carolina Beach to Boston in September for more pay as a teacher. Ouch!
