These groms are on it every day they can. No waves they are in the bowl at the skate park.

CJ - pics of your kid inspired me to go ahead and ignore my old bones and surf today. As I've gotten older I tend to sit out these cold, windy days but thought if those kids are going out then so am I. Results were two small waves and a three wave ass whooping that chased me in! Too bad I can no longer surf like a kid but it's funny when you get older- I am satisfied with just 2 waves. Thanks for inspiring at least one old guy in MD.

Yeah man. Your kid rips. That's awesome. Good on you for raising him right!

This was my view checking it out this morning. Picture didn't do the waves justice. Chest high, a bit sectiony but if you got on the right one you'd have a fast wall to play with. A few lip to the head mini barrels to be had as well. And surprisingly, no one in sight. All though the waves aren't the focus of this picture. Was just a beautiful morning. Hope your little one scored again.

These boys deserve a spread in Surfer magazine for their dedication, fun seeking intensity and great surfing. And thank you for sharing these photos with us. You and your sons are a bright light in our world.

And bassmon, loving that photo. Did you paddle out?

Smitty, that is a secret to aging. Enjoying each wave you can still take. I always feel satisfied with one good ride. If my old bones give me more, well then, that's great too. But just that one ride is enough to light up my world.

Good on you for seeing the stoke in those boys' faces and going for it. For that moment, you're 11 years old again and all is right with the world.

I'm with Smitty. I was sitting here looking at those pics and saying to myself, if those kids can hit it then dammit so can I!

Sadly, I've been surfing more than 20 years and I still can't hit the lip backside anywhere as well as your 10 year old. Good for him.

Just one of the boys earlier in this thread is my son. Mine is the one on the green board. The other is his surf buddy.

My oldest is no slouch either though.

I wish I had the budget for the right equipment to shoot surf pics. All of the pictures in this thread were taken with a $400 point & shoot.

Your photos are fine...most photographers feel the same way, always wanting something new...

Didn't look like that here. Windblown crap. Saw pics and video from LBI that looked good.

My dogs were expeditiously tinkling ice sickles, almost.

Damn Mitchell. It was fun here, but not exactly what most would call "good" considering the wind. I hadn't had a surf in waves that look like that in what feels like forever.

    I'm jealous
