Heading out there today to sleep in my van, for a week. I've done my fair share of google map recon and have some ideas from being there before regarding where to surf. The place picks up the SW fetch that Jerz doesn't. Does anyone have any amazing hints to share?
early and late sessions, gets windy. bring swim fins and enjoy the shorepound, bring a spear gun and get some fish. Respect the area and dont ruin it for everyone else. enjoy your trip mang
Always respect the area and locals. Have mask, snorkel, fins, bodyboard, 5'5" groveler & spring suit. Unfortunately I do not own a spear gun. LBCrew, did you take your car out there? We have to sleep the night in the van tonight cuz there were no spots available on the Saturday boat and didn't want to mess around with "stand by".
Man you fockers are lucky I have a newborn I'd totally come out there and find ya. No way am I escaping this weekend.
Order a rum punch at Shoals and order a marg at the Narragansett. The fish sandwich at Rebecca's is good and cheap. If you are looking for the latenight after the bar, its at the end of dump road. If you snoop around on the South side and there are waves, you'll find them. Low tide and incoming. If there is an east swell head north. If you rent a moped don't blow the fvcking horn. Good luck!
I'll be with wife and 3yr old. Prob not gonna partake in late night doins. More interested in early morning surfins! Then play with the fam for the rest of the day. Rinse. Repeat.
I guess I'm the only one scratching my head thinking block island?lol what state are u guys talking about
Rhode island, dude.you need a boat with galley/cot. Unless you have a boatload of money there is no parking and costs a fortune to stay over. But it is really the most beautiful place and has a fantastic setup for surf. Sublimity. Too bad you pay 300 a night for a ****ty room with no ac and no parking.nice places cost a lot more.
