I'm looking to buy a new board this year but not sure what size I should get. I'm 5' 9" 150 lbs and have been surfing for four years. I'm currently riding a 6'0 RNF and I want to get a short board similar to something like the Dumpster Diver or anything good in small summer surf. I was wondering what anyone thought would be a get board dimension for me

Longboards are best for small summer surf... always have been, always will. Fish are next best.

I'm about your size...the last couple of boards i've really liked in small summer surf are:

    5'8" x 22" x 2 3/8" mini simmons
    5'9" x 20 3/4" x 2 3/8" round nose fish

Most would say those are both on the big side for a 150 pounder, but i dont mind it.

the bottom line for me for summer boards is flatter nose rocker for paddling and glide, shorter board length for those tiny pockets, and plenty of width for beating the mush.
