Had a friend looking at a new BILT board. He asked me if I knew anything about them and I didn't so I told him I'd try to find out some info. Looked them up and they're out of Durban, South Africa and have a shop in Cocoa Beach. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or knew anything about them. If you like them/durability/quality/etc? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.
If you dont know what would work for you then your best bet is a high performance fun board shape. Easy paddle, loose, and works in 95% of the conditions for your area. When it comes to how long the board lasts thats when you need to find out what blanks, clothe, and skill of the glassers and sanders they use. Go epoxy or the likes for something that will hold up.
epoxy works the best for me since i like to do airs on my shortboards. But just cause they're epoxy doesnt mean they dont break cause they can break if you try hard enough and trust me I have broken an epoxy board.
so you dont know what wax is good for you area.... but you do sick airs on your..shortboards? yeah ok. i guess since noone will tell you, i will. you aint fooling nobody buddy. except maybe someone who is more of a kook than you which is pretty hard to imagine. and by the way whens the last time youve seen any pros ride or get slotted on an epoxy? never or hardly ever. thats cuz they suck and are an experimental alternative due to the foam producer closing. get some sense and get a custom piece of foam and glass. take that as how to not be a retarded kook lesson #1
