Hello All, I started a Waves for Water board raffle fundraiser to benefit the Philippines. Typhoon Haiyan was an exceptionally powerful typhoon that devastated portions of the Philippines; killing at least 5,500 Filipinos. Last year for Sandy, a board I shaped for the Chadwick Beach Restoration Fund raised $1000 at auction and with your help, I’m hoping for the same success. Please donate if you can and you might win a surfboard. The board is a user friendly 6'3" x 21" x 2 1/2" mod-egg thruster with a gloss & polish glass job by Brian Wynn, who kindly donated the color work to the cause. I will update this post with more pics as they become available. Details are available at my Waves for Water fundraiser page: http://www.wavesforwater.org/fundraiser/damayan-help-each-other-clean-water-relief Thanks for your support, JD San Jose
cyber bump. let's bring some help their way. http://www.wavesforwater.org/fundraiser/damayan-help-each-other-clean-water-relief
Making some progress, but still need your help! As a Filipino, the cause is dear to my heart. Here's a few pics after picking up from Brian Wynn today. The color and finish are quality. It was overcast and rainy, so the pictures don't do the gloss/polish justice - *it looks great in person. Check it out at Glide Surf Co. in Asbury Park. In fact, later tonight at the shop, world traveler/shaper Ryan Lovelace will there to chat about board design. Thanks for looking!
