Hey guys, my flight to Aquadilla leaves tomorrow night and i havent even considered my board situation. My board is actually at a friend's house who lives about 2 hours away from me so i think im going to have to rent. Im not sure if this is true, but someone told me its pretty hard to get full week rentals in Rincon? I'm staying up by Sandy Beach, but i dont really know that area too well so any shop suggestions would be awesome.
well almost all the boards i rented there totaly sucked. so itl be kinda hard to get agood rental for a week but you will most likely beable to negotiate something. near sandy i recomed the bar casa verde you should check um out
I went this time last year and refused to spew $150 to US Airways to bring my boards I rented from a guy named Bobby at Mar Azul Surf Shop right on top of the hill on 413 in Rincon. I believe he charged $125 for the week and let me swap out boards as often as i liked. He had at least 40 rental boards mostly shortboards, fishes, eggs and longboards and mostly regular poly boards. He also gave us directions to some out of town spots. +1 on this. we stayed there.
MItchell's right.... I rented a near-new CI Flyer from Bobby for a week last time I was there. Forget how much it cost, but he's a solid guy.
I agree with Mitchell.... Mar Azul on 413 is great.. was there for a week last march... They supplied the roof rack and let me sw/out the board as many times as i wanted.... Forget the price but he was very reasonable..
