On the web... does anyone have any I don't know about? Preferably on or close to the east coast due to shipping?? So far I know of Realwatersports catalyst levitate longboardhouse Anymore options would be DOPE!
+1 for Warm Winds in Narragansett, my home break. Owner Tom Hogan is a great guy and the shop is a square deal. Root for Tom, he is paddling the Molokai to Oahu race.
I get really confused when I look at a bunch of boards in two dimensions, even if I have the dims and the volume on paper. I prefer to look at the rocker and concaves to vee, the fin placements, and especially fondle the rails.
I would only buy on line if I already knew what I wanted. I have, though, dealt with shapers remotely, discussed my surfing ability (lack), what kind of waves I surf (anything I can catch) and what I prefer in a board (WTF, I'm a kook, how would I know?). Now that I know a little better . . . He'll, I still don't know what I want. Give me a board for big small powerful mushy east coast Central America waves for a novice expert intermediate surfer who naturally surfs goofy. And ship it to me air freight for free.
http://www.costco.com/Wave-Storm-8'-Classic-Surfboard.product.100098389.html I got this Curseboard a couple years ago and the waves got smaller and smaller every day. The last chest high and over wave I got was on it and had to swim in after the leash pulled put with the fin bolt. I'm sorry all you in the 757. If I could, I'd take it back.
Same with me, I'm getting a board soon from Jesse Hines (SUPERBRAND) and I got to feel the board out and make a final decision when I was in jerzy in May.
yes. i have before, once. i bought a Becker longboard from Becker Surfshop. sick board and locally shaped/glassed. got a 9'4" for $450!! the shipping was bombproof and cost me like $80 at the time or something.
If I didnt know better ... I would think you you were calling into question my support of local guys. You should elaborate.
Yeah, prone paddle on a 12' bark, doing it with another local. One of the other guys I sometimes surf with is doing it stand up. Sick! I have done a few prone paddles with them. Up to maybe 4 miles at the longest . . . The play in the waves for the last ten minutes waiting for me to catch up! The next day I can barely raise my arms!
