Recently I received two customs Haydens and feel as if my quiver is pretty well rounded. However, there are always a few boards that I wish I could get just to experiment--that is, if I had the money to burn. The board below is one that I wish I could purchase--I think it's someone on this board--maybe NJsurfer...can't remember as its a pic from the fish fry years ago in cedars (nt., if anyone knows the dims please let me know). Anyway, I have been having a hankering to get a bonzer for a while now...just can't pull the trigger yet... Interested to hear about boards that are on your "wish list"...
ha! not a pic i expected to find in this thread! that board was made for me by brian in 2008. front end is based on a pavel fish i was riding at the time. dims came out to 5'10"x21"x2 5/8"...glassing was 6/4 deck & single 6oz bottom, the color was full board, not just rails & bottom. gloss & polish. the rails were pretty thinned out as i recall, & the tail was pretty pulled in, VERY trim beak nose. i don't know if the board is still alive...i traded it in for a dumpster diver a few years later (stupid move). in a totally random coincidence, i'm pretty good friends now w/ the guy who bought it off the used rack. he didn't like it & sold it on c-list to someone random. it's one of those boards that i regret selling & wish i could have back. it went in everything...a true 90% board for nj & beyond.
board on my wishlist is about to become reality this week coming up!! check out this beaut I found. Shout out to Jordan at The Quay for the hookup. pretty much brand new for $650.
Love that blue Brian Wynn shape, looks like it would be a lot of fun. I just recently found and purchased a BW board on craigslist myself. Saw it like 2-3 weeks ago and the guy had it listed for around $300 and I offered $150 and he accepted no problem... Kinda makes me wish I made a lower offer haha, but no harm done. Guy lived all the way out in Pottstown, PA. It was def a long drive to get out there, but well worth the drive for the condition the board was in and the price. I think it might have only used it like 2 or 3 times and just sat there. Told me he like's snowboarding more and that surfing was too much work I kinda don't blame with with over a 3 hour drive to the nearest beach lol But hey his loss is my gain! I'm diggin this board so far from the few times I've used it already, just getting used to the thickness as it's a 1/4" thinner than my normal all around go to board. Got it all cleaned up, fresh wax job, and put some better fins on there, pics below: Dimensions: 6' x 19-1/2" x 2-3/8"
I just got the board on my wish list it was a 5'6 lost plank. My next is a 5'3 or shorter short board because I want to ecentuay do competitions and I'm 5'1 and 5'3 is the longest I can enter with
