Welcome. Last year I renewed my quiver. I sold 3 boards and bought 4, all on Craigslist. All of the boards I got were in mint condition, one was brand new.

I typically don't sell boards anymore. The last few times I have I find myself regretting it immensely years down the road. Sold a will alison lb to a friend in grad school for 400 bones. Saw him 7 years later and offered him 800 for the board (it was that good of a board and he had taken care of it) -wouldn't sell. I decided then I am done selling boards period.

Buying is another matter. I usually buy a brand new board every couple of years. I am a craigslist whore though -so if I see something that looks fun and I got the cash, I'll go for it. Ranges from 0-5 a year.

Well done lol I'm fantasizing about ropes under ceiling, holding the boards up. My lady rolls eyes at the thought, plus I only have 2 boards

I usually make one every year or so for crappy everyday surf, and I just bought a semi gun for $100 from a buddy who gained too much weight. So it's time to put one on consignment, polly the first one I made. It is a 7'6" fun shape, it will float an elephant. Sentimental value, but time to move on, clear some space, and get a new high performance shorty custom made for daddy!

Suggested the same thing to my wife...given the number of boards I have...she said no way...then suggested I set it up in a room with a ceiling fan. Her plan was to sabotage the rope/cord...I believe she was only half joking...smh.

I usually don't ever have to buy boards. I tend to pick them up on the beach when people leave them un-attended. they are every where!

One a year average. Unless it's a special board like a longboard or fish. I give them away when I'm done with them for the most part. There's been a few I've ridden thru and sold at the pawn shop for 20$.

Being my first year of surfing, I bought 3 boards this year. A 7'6 spoiler(used),A 9'2 nsp(used), and a 5'6 Wynn fish(new) that I don't use much now but am hoping to step down into it by this summer/fall. Don't think I will be selling any boards this year.

hahahaha. I have the same problem...put most of my boards on floor to ceiling wallracks and now you can barely fit a car in the garage and still open the door. I'm about to start moving some of them that I never ride out to my shed

There/s nothing wrong with being a board hoarder.
