Been there. Some of them have softer material which is allright, but it's always a gamble because the seams can still be rough.

I just don't go commando in them when I surf. I'll wear boxer briefs, or those horrible looking spandex type things made to go unde rthem, or a wetsuit. Sure beats gtting the Chaffing

hurley phantoms. I got the original baby blue (solid color) a year ago and I have never got a chaffing from them. the only chaffing i get while wearnig them is pit chaffing because I can surf so long in them! haha. They are super strechy and soft and chicks dig them. I only got them for $39 bucks. Definitely worth every penny

best thing you can to is try a cpl pairs on like you would going wetsuit shoping. What ever fits best go with. I myself wear Birdwell Beach Britches. Alot of ppl say the chafe them my I never had that issue. It all about how good the fit is

I feel like no matter what pair I buy, they still rub. I always leave with a huge rash that hurts for days. I borrowed a pair of my friend's shorts last weekend and they are the first pair I have ever worn that didn't give me that problem. Has anyone else ever tried that type of Ripyard boardshorts? I am thinking about getting a pair, but I want to hear a couple of other people's opinions to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Let me know. Thanks.

I've got a pair of Reef board shorts that is made out of more of a rash guard material than board shorts. They are my only pair I have that are guranteed Rash-Free.
