boating

    I'd much rather have a good friend who has a boat, than own one.

    It’s why the packed them on the stores trip home in such large amounts. Great food AND helped with the crossing which was often rough - natural Dramamine lol

    Oh, for sure!

    Costs to dock it or store it somewhere. And if you have to tow that big motherfucker. And I don't have room to put one at my house. I have room for my personal watercraft, but not a boat. My nephews wind up using the little jet ski more than I do this particular Summer, anyway.

    My friend with the boat has it docked right in his backyard, which isn't really a yard, it's a dock. He lives on like a little canal close to the Barnegat Bay.

    I got cured of boating by getting my captains license and making what used to be a fun hobby into work. After a decade of taking greenhorns and corporate clients to the canyons I was totally burnt out on fishing and boating.
