How do you booty-wearing folks deal with bad booty stink? I have the stinkiest booties- ripcurl flashbombs. They are warm, and work pretty good, considering they are 2 years old. But man, catching an unsuspecting whiff of just one stinky booty makes me dryheave a little.

Do all booties smell like this? Is it the woolyness of the flashbomb material? Anyone have the same experience?

I've gone through many bootys over the years, and I hate to say I'm stuck with some stinky booty right now.

I thought this was a tread about sloppy wipers... I'm disappointed...

Try spraying the inside with some rubbing alcohol. It kills the bacteria. Works good on my vibrams and sanuks. I just try to get my booties dry ASAP. they still get the funk once in a while though.

My secret, which isn't much of a secret, is the old arm and hammer baking soda. For my suit I pull it inside out and apply a liberal coating. Let it re-dry, and then hit it with warm fresh water. For my booties (which I confess also tend to have a foul odor) I do the same, but after they dry I have a little paper towel 'ball' of it secured with a bread bag twisty and I drop one in each bootie and let it sit until I surf again. The suit and boots stay fresh.

Back in the day I hid my reefer in mine and got searched, when that smell hit the cop he was like oh my god what is that! I said its my wetsuite booties. He was like you wear that when it smells like that? I was like yup. He just dropped the search and let me go.

If your yoo cheap to buy the wetsuit shampoo- mouthwash is a great alternitive - just mix in water when rinsing out. I have also been know to directly spray air freshener on them - works for a day or so... Ha
