Ohh and CNN.COM has been sitting on the gold mine of a story that Gun Crime has decreased dramatically, 50% i believe the article states since 1993. They released that article the Wednesday after the election... interesting timing CNN. Interesting indeed.

But the reason I mention this if because the origin of this thread. Couple guys with guns running around Boston that created martial law.

people on a forum can't work together just like congress can't work together. Everyone wants to be right, nobody wants to be wrong, nobody can compromise. Throw in a billion bucks a day for "the war on terror" and another hundred million (or however much) for the "war on drugs", and we have a proper disaster.

 

I am in fact not a "real" surfer, rather I am an artificial surfer-robot. Who knew? I shred heavy and cry motor oil every night because all I want to do is sleep, but robots can't sleep. Its a sad, sad cycle.

Anyways, hinmo24t, what's that like an R2D2 type of name? Anyways, I saw you are from New England, so therefore your claim to shred those ocean waves harder than I is irrelevant. No one in New England surfs too good. That's just a fact of life. (I guess that will get them all worked up).

All of the U.S. banner economic times or major economic recoveries have been under democratic presidents. And please don't say Reagan. The rich got richer and the poor got poorer under Reagan.......double digit inflation and unemployment........he brought us crack and AIDS too. Why he's deemed some hero is beyond me. But yeah, republicans haven't been too sound economically in the past years.

What is your definition of a real surfer? The Spicoli line is a classic, but how can you honestly generalize another's surfing realness simply based off their political beliefs?

 

Oh shucks fellas, I don't mean much behind that statement........it kind of touches upon how surfing's demographic has changed over the years..........how it's become more of a hobby than a lifestyle......

Ok for the record, I know nobody's political affiliation influences the way they surf.........I'm sure a lot of them Californian goofballs back in the 50's who shaped this whole surfing thing came from stodgy republican backgrounds.....though that was kind of a different republican back then. Like, I love IKE..........(that's President Eisnhower for the younger generations...)

You are forced to pay for health insurance to a private for profit insurance companies. Our tax money goes to banker bailouts and government subsidies to private companies and we have no say what companies. What happens if you don't pay your taxes. You go to jail. If that doesn't sound like authoritarian nationalism then I guess I'm crazy. Our current tax system is less than 100 years old. Like I said you are a boiling frog.

 

paddington, or surf jetty whatever - i bet you hold a job as well as you hold a reputation and screen name on forums. to answer your question i am from new england. do you have a job, or are you one of the ever present votors who depend on my hard work to live? instead of spending hours on a surf forum digging into peoples past posts and writing ellaborately looney posts, why dont you try directing some of that effort into work and paying some taxes like the rest of us. by the way - Raegan may have "brought crack" (i dont think that is all that valid of a statement anyway) but it seems you smoked it! gotta get back to work man, i know thats important for your well being and productivity.

Actually, I'm on here much less than many other people. Plus, the more people participate on here the better it is for the site as a whole.......and therefore the surf world in general.

And I didn't have to "dig into past posts." I told y'all, I have a list and I'm checking it twice......I'm "looney" and I hold grudges. I also read Encyclopedia Brown(hey my last name !!) books so I'm an expert detective.

You elect an official who has a say in all this. It is called a Republic. Don't like what's going on, run for office and change it. But if paranoia works for you, don't let me get in the way of it.
