There are not any surf shops in downtown Boston. I believe there are a couple on the south shore but I go to the ones in New Hampshire... Zapstick, Pioneers, Cinnamon Rainbows. There is also Brickhouse out in Gloucester.

    Oceanfrog in Malden

There is a small surf/skate shop in Malden called Ocenfrog.

Tried to go once to look for a WS for my wife but they were closed. Even on the weekend they had crappy hours where they didn't open till noon or something.

I have had good luck with Cinnamon Rainbows in Hampton. Friendly, helpful staff and the owner sometimes cruises the floor to help people.

I second Cinnamon Rainbows as well as Zapstix up in NH. Last week I got boots and gloves for the GF (Im trying to get her back in the water before the air temps hit 70+) Anyway though I got gloves that were a bit too small for her when I went back to return them for a larger size they did not have a larger size in the same brand so I had to go with a more expensive pair. The guys there just gave me an even swap even when I offered to pay the difference.

I got my board at Zapstick and got a leash and bag at the same time. The guy there knocked off about $125.

Good deal! Where in relation to CR is Zapstick? Do they have as big of an inventory of wetsuits as CR? I am probably going to buy a spring/fall suit soon and will just go to one of those shops so I can make sure I have a good fit before I drop $$$$ on a suit.

Zasptix is about a mile or two from cinnamon rainbows you just head south on the beach road its in Seabrook. They do not have as large a selection of wetsuits and board but they are good guys down there and very helpful.

Just an FYI Brickhouse in Gloucester is closed down. Their website still says they are open but it must be outdated. But the three that have been mentioned in NH are all awesome.
