Chunky waves this morning and just the most open right hand barrels all afternoon when the tide dropped. 6 hours of beatings and victories. Swellinfo says it was 2-3ft chop. Got to my spot and it was stomach to chest occ. head. Semiclean with only a 7mph ene wind. I was amping all day. Looking for much the same tomorrow. Dunno if any of yall scored in your area but obx was doin what it does best...puuuuuuuumpin

I wish I didn't have to work all day. Couldn't get out till 4pm. Only knee to waist, and breaking semi shallow.

Chest high but a little choppy off Sandbridge this afternoon. Looked fun compared to past week. Was with wife and daughter and had no board with me.
Tomorrow AM at Croatan before work.

Sick for you Dunester, I had a hell of a day too. No barrels or beatings, just tiny waves up here that were better and cleaner than expected. Sunset was excellent, crowd was almost nonexistent.... hoping tomorrow is even better.

^ DoxXX that sounds tough, can't ya get the daughter into surfing? Maybe show her a Bethany Hamilton vid, or Blue Crush. And get the wife into surf photography. Er... 'photography'.

Yesterday was fun! I just unfortunately hit it right before a storm came through to the north which screwed the wind up. It cleaned up nicely about the time I was getting out.....go figure. Hoping for some decent leftovers today.

Glad you scored! I saw it was pretty good on the cam but didn't know if it was big enough for NagsHeadShredmachine to paddle out

Dunebilly, did you end up surfing the other sunday? I was watching for about an hour and was wondered if you were there.

Yes, yesterday was very good here. This morning was okay. In the waist high range. Super inconsistent, with chest high sets of 4 or so once every 30 minutes. Really had to be patient....

And today was my first session of the fall in rubber. It was 68-69ish. Glad I brought the 3 mil with me.

Exactly. It was way better before cams existed. I would say 3/4 of the surfers these days wouldn't exist if there still weren't cams. The lineups would be empty again.

I hope it sticks around for nj. Bout to land in Newark and won't make it to the beach until after sunset.

Also, drinks in first class are free and I'm drink as a skunk.

Sessions before and after work today made up for it. AM was best. Less chop, cleaner conditions than yesterday.
    Am sore and tired tonight.
