Nothing is breaking. It's flat. The lake Atlantic isn't even providing decent fishing at the moment. I may need to take up bass fishing again....
Went gigging last week near bear inlet. Did really well. Can't figure out how to post a picture from my phone. So oh well
The is a guy posting videos of himself diving in the inlet during the night and the day. spearing quite a few flounder in the rocks
Everybody I know who spears been catching plenty O' flounder the past couple months from the surf, inlets and the pier An associate of mine who is quite large, covered in tattoo's and will throw your sheet in the water snagged one yesterday as big as his torso
Water's been kinda green and murky lately. Got out with decent viz the other day, but didn't see any keepers... then again it was low tide. Went down again yesterday and the viz was about 2'. But the cool thing was a bunch of dolphins right off the beach FEASTING on snapper blues. Just going crazy for about a half hour. Even caught one surfing a wave over the sandbar... first time I ever saw that up here.
Went offshore over the weekend. We went 2 for 3 on YFT (small, but tasty). Had one big run off and fought it for 15 minutes, but lost it before we got a visual. A few guys catching Big Eye's ealier in the week, but we didn't see any. Tons of life out there. Whales, dolphin and turtles. Saw a big mako breach on a bunker pod on the way in. There were miles of bunker at 90' of water. It was a lake out there. Crystal clear and hot. Came home burnt, buzzed and tired
Guy I work with went spear fishing this morning and he said it was the clearest water he had ever been in. I might go down this evening and check it out. Never seen it more than 10 ft of vision around here.
